Excellent choices all three. Your first choice Hendrix at Woodstock I wish they had included Gypsy woman and Mastermind with the lead vocals from Larry Lee and awesome rhythm guitar playing from Jimi showing what he learned from playing down south in the "Chitlin circuit". Jeff Beck at Ronnie Scotts is one of my Blu Ray reference discs that I use to demo how good lossless audio can sound.

Hehe yeah....Jimi and Jeff.....all kinds of great stuff!
In my 30 years of playing that damn guitar, those two have always been great for why I love playing the guitar!

They are definitely influential to other guitarists like you and me. I remember when "Wired" came out, I spent hours trying to learn to play "Blue wind".My close friend for over 20 years Andy who's a drummer and I went to the Nokia theater in Los Angeles,CA to see Jeff Beck in 2010.So glad I was able to finally see Jeff Beck in person. My buddy on the other hand got to see Jimi twice in southern California. Was in a Who mood on my flight across the pond today. Listened to Tommy all the way through, then Quad 1&2.
Tommy is still just brilliant.

Yeah Townsend is one brilliant player too!
Man have seen Beck twice now...that man is just out of this world, have seen alot of the greats, Beck just have this slight otherworldish thing to him, whish I could have seen Hendrix....but I'm from 67...so...haha

What you all playing on?
Got myself a CS JB strat, and old 85 ESP Navigator strat, one old 81 Tokai Silver Star strat(with a Greco body, a mix made the Japanese).
A Classic Vibe Tele(that I have changed hardware and pickups on!)

And a bunch of different amps....

Also going through Imelda May right now....that woman is just awesome!!
And her band is redhot!!!

I remember seeing the Who at Anaheim stadium in the late 70's.My cousin was able to see them earlier than that in San Francisco at the Cow Palace. He said Keith Moon passed out while playing. They even asked if someone wanted to come up play drums since he was so fucked up!

That's kind of a famous moment, isn't it? I believe there is even footage of it, and Pete asking the crowd "does anyone play the drums?"...unless Keith passing out on stage was all too common...

I have a 65 Strat body with a 1976 maple neck. It was originally sunburst with a rosewood neck.Yes the strings are strung for a lefty thank you very much! ;) I sold my Fender stage lead amplifier now I'm looking for a good sounding tube amp or a transistor that sounds "tube like". I always wanted a Marshall, any other recommendations?

Marshalls always seemed one dimensional to me (although my amps have always been crap). A friend (who is a hell of a guitarist, rather than a hack like me) bought a little Fender Superchamp and loves it. It's small and powerful enough for a small club, plenty for anything that I would ever need - but I think that they have stopped production of it.

Ever heard of Emperor cabs? Started as kind of a small, custom botique style thing...heard about them through Russian Circles, an instrumental metal-expirmental band...
