Damn, I've just realized that, if things go according to plan, I will watch (at least) 120 motorcycle races this year (54 in GP + Moto2 + Moto3, 42 in WSBK + WSS, 26 in BSB)

Not bad at all!

I've been shelling out the cash since........fuck......I can't remember it's been so long! At LEAST since 2002. And I was on the MotoGP.com site for 3/4 years before that.

Hugo,

Unfortunately you will get used to it! I've been a long time subscriber and it has improved a lot from the time out in the middle of a race version it was before. The HD is nice to view. I really like the on board cameras they are using now.

I think I've bought the season package the last 5 years or so -- it still hurts.

Maybe "package" is an apt word after all...

I'll be buying soon...but don't think it's that bad value. I love the ability to watch old races ('05 Rossi vs Gibernau being one of the best!), and the HD doesn't usually fritz out all that often actually.

This is true. Since buying the package, I've already watched 4 "classic" races.

Plus, there's 54 races in total this year, so it works out to about 2 euros/race. I can live with that (and that's not even counting the FP and QP which the junkie in me enjoys very much)

I think it sucks, but there is no real option.

Same here. Last year I had several rounds where the HD wasn't working and had to go to low res. I'm sure it wasn't my connect, maybe a bottle neck in between but I suspect more on their end. Also, not being able to record it kind of pisses me off. Some races (though relatively few, these days...) I'd like to keep to watch years down the road, not after my "yearly package" runs out 23 seconds after the final round.

They are remarkably quick to cut off access once the season is over that's for sure!

I normally have the recorded races on my telly, but coz I watch it through the playstation I can't get it off with any ease. Once I upgrade to a proper PVR with DVD burner (like I used to have) I'll be able to start keeping races. But there again, it's all online.

As long as your subscription is current.

Since Racing Underground went tits up (I used to get my "saved" vids there, while maintaining a paid subscription on motogp.scum) I have no other choice but to buy and mount a sat dish, and pay the Tokyo Giants $50 a month to get a lot of baseball and some other sporting events hoping all the while their night games don't go into overtime and postpone a GP... Otherwise, it will be a week or so before I get it.

Nah, not that interested anymore.

I will be looking for something that lets me save what I stream. I'm paying plenty for my subscription. I feel I should be able to record it and view later, as many times as I want. Just like the CDs I bought...
