Kneel down, ye sinners,
To streetwise religion,
Greed's been crowned the new King
Hollywood dream teens, yesterdays trash queens,
save the blessing for the final ring,
AMEN!!!

I did. Well, not actually 40, more like 38 or so. Couldn't believe it at the time but apparently in Michigan they are supposed to card anyone that looks under 40 just to be safe.
Now if I get carded the next time I go back there, I surely will take it as a compliment!

Hahahaha...My folks took me to dinner at a little bar and grill a few miles north of their place...
I ordered a Bud (what fucking choice did I have? Their idea of a good beer is that Shock Top shit...and I ain't gonna drink Coors Light, sooo...), and the waitress didn't even card me!
Then we stopped at the bottle shop...grabbed a twelve pack of Newcastle (thank FUCK they had something good...), and again, the guy didn't card my ass! Though I do know Al, I worked with him at a machine shop while I was in high school...
Just hangin' out, my old bedroom, some Newcastle...life's good. Going out with a few co-workers tomorrow night in my current hometown...should be fun. Bonfire in the country...good ol' redneck times.

I used to buy my beer (while in HS...) at an old Ma and Pa store. Would show my legit drivers license to her every time (she carded everyone) but she was blind as a bat. She could however sense when somebody was nervous and most of my friends never got past her.
Over the years I've always wondered if they got in trouble for selling to minors.

Things were different then...my dad and his buddies would go to a town 60 miles away to buy beer because word got around that the liquor store there didn't card...and that was when the drinking age was 18...

When I was in my teens if they carded me at a store I'd just go to a bar instead. If things got REALLY bad we'd go to the nice places in Carmel. Expensive, but I don't think they even knew about carding.
