Toro Rosso STR6. FFS, would it kill the Red Bull teams to come up with something different?

I love that HRT - especially the little comedic decals they have put on there.

Though he did die in a Williams, he was still a Williams driver. I think it's a good tribute, and I'd venture to say Rubens is honored to drive it.

I think it looks great. Never been a huge fan of retro stuff (New Camaro notwithstanding), but with the Renault, and now this...both are pretty epic-looking.

When everyone thinks of Senna and Williams, they think Imola. Almost like the only thing he ever did in a Williams was have a fatal accident. He still drove 2 races, albeit with poor results. I don't look at the new Williams scheme as a bad memory, but a good one. With the connotation of Senna, and the WC's for Hill and Villeneuve. I think hugo thinks the scheme reminiscent of the 1994 car, with a Brazilian driving, is a bad connotation.

Speaking of Hill and Villeneuve I bought years ago their respective mimichamps cars in 1:43 scale. Great find as the Damon Hill car even has the banner across the box proclaming his 1996 championship. Williams has quite a history in F-1.

They are, IIRC, the most successful independent team there has ever been. Never had ownership (until this year) from a major manufacturer, etc. It has always been Sir Frank at the helm. I, too, have a small collection of Williams cars. Webber's '06, Wurz's '07, Patrese's '91 is coming...they more or less are my favorite team, behind Ferrari.

I became a fan of Frank Williams teams after watching Alan Jones win in the FW07 which I had on a nice t-shirt once upon a time.Long time ago!

The FW07 was Williams 1979 contender. So, yeah, that was a WHILE ago! :D But those were the days when those cars really were cool. Ground effects, followed by turbos...what I would do to have been around in those days!

Frank Williams has always been a class act.

I think Vern, that we may have crossed paths a time or two when F1 was at Long Beach.

Paul,

I was just going to type that,LOL I still to this day remember that event. Walking the pits and just the atmosphere( hot women everywhere) of being there in Long beach(they need to bring F-1 back to it)The "good old days"someone lit up some Columbian on the way there and the rest is history. B)

In those days, the teams weren't hidden away. Don't recall the year, but the F1 garages were inside the convention center. Just ropes around the teams.

I tried to get Nelson Piquet's attention for an autograph, but it didn't work so well.

And I doubt Penthouse will ever be an F1 sponsor again.
