When everyone thinks of Senna and Williams, they think Imola. Almost like the only thing he ever did in a Williams was have a fatal accident. He still drove 2 races, albeit with poor results. I don't look at the new Williams scheme as a bad memory, but a good one. With the connotation of Senna, and the WC's for Hill and Villeneuve. I think hugo thinks the scheme reminiscent of the 1994 car, with a Brazilian driving, is a bad connotation.

Sorry but Senna didn't exactly do much more on a Williams than have the fatal crash.

Whenever a Brazilian sees that Rothmans livery, it's the first thing that springs to mind.
Even when I watch old 500 races with the Rothmans Honda, my first reaction is a negative one...

I'm sorry to hear that. :( To me that livery conjures up both good and bad memories.

Nice tribute thanks. Nice to see Zolder and the "ring" in that footage.I once built a 1/12 scale Tamiya model of that Tyrrell 6 wheeler.

That guy makes some amazing stuff. I'd recommend checking out his other videos.

I can't even begin to imagine the courage it must have took Niki Lauda to get back in that car 2 rounds later in Monza. In another short film I saw, Murray Walker said Niki went through a helmet a session at Monza, because every time he took it off, it was full of blood and drainage. Also, the clip of Mosley talking about going to drivers' funerals, and breaking down, was from "When Playboys Ruled the World", a docu about Bazza and James Hunt. Also highly recommended if you haven't seen it. It's available on RU.

I've seen the playboy documentary. I found it while reading an article from another driver about James Hunt who was crazy as they come as a racing driver. These guys were still racing when I was a teenager and first obtained my license they hold a special place in my F-1 heart. ;)

WHat I love about the video is seeing the drivers have to work to control the cars. Unlike todays cars, there was more power than mechanical and aero grid so to go fast you had to be on the edge. Spectacular.

Did any of you watch Formula 1 debrief on Speed? The three hosts Matchett,Hobbs,Varsha had some great comments about this 2011 season.

Vettel looks pretty fast,he might repeat his championship if he stays out of trouble.Lewis Hamilton is trying to catch him but can't get close enough yet, Ferrari slowly improving it seems.

I've been impressed with Renault, so far. A podium each for Petrov and Nick...not bad. And Vitaly's air at Sepang was bitchin'.

I liked that also. The in car shot was impressive watching the steering shaft snap upon returning to Earth! ;)

Haven't watched it yet; have it recorded. Still watching Cup at Talladega, and flipping between that and IndyCar at Long Beach...but from what I've heard so far, there was a LOT of overtaking at China, much like Nascar at 'Dega! At least that's what someone said on another forum...

Shanghai was great. Hamilton's move up the inside of Vettel, awesome! Unusal for pass at that portion of the track.

Webber move through the field was epic. 18th on the grid and then gets on the podium.
