Background: For a good few years now, the official Colin Edwards website, CERacing.com has been home to a collection of forum regulars, lurkers and some questionable characters
who were specialists in winding each other up while at the same time discussing the best motorsport in the world, motorcycle road racing. Former two time World Superbike champion Colin Edwards was the person responsible for bringing us together, our appreciation of the man resulted in many friendships being made from all corners of the globe, air miles being used up and lots of hangovers.
Sadly all good things must come to an end and it was decided that the BBS service of CERacing.com would end on January 1st 2007. Regardless of the reasons why the forum was closed, a few of us felt the community was too good to just leave behind and we wanted to move to a new home. It is our hope that this forum continues where we left off at the end of last year and we hope to make some new friends. We might even be lucky to have Colin himself and a few other pro racers posting if we behave ourselves..
Why ColinEdwards.com? Thats to do with me. One of the reasons why Colin's official site wasn't called this is that there was someone hoarding the domain name, only willing to part with it for a large sum of money. Quite rightly those behind CE's site disagreed with it and CERacing was named as it is. Early last year I saw this domain name was expiring soon so I found a site that would register the domain name for a very small amount as soon as it became free. I took that chance and offered it to JP for free. As it stands this offer wasn't taken up, so once the old forum closed I asked JP for his blessing to start this forum with this domain name and he agreed. So it happened.
Rules:The old CERacing forum was pretty much a free for all. There was a lot of serious winding up and banter, some of it good, some bad. I hope to keep some of the fizz here but I don't want people acting like arseholes. I'd like to think youre all grown up and know where the line is drawn in the sand. Each section of this forum will have its own rules. Please read them. If you are unsure and require any clarification please feel free to contact me.
Registration:Anyone who wants to access any other part of this forum will need to register. Please follow the onscreen registration process and visual verification authentication system. You will receive an email with a confirmation link to activate your account. Please do this within 30 days otherwise your registration will be automatically rejected.
